Student March for Common Sense Gun Legislation

Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ will be leading a delegation of students and community members in the March for Our Lives taking place in Newark, NJ on March 24.  This march is part of the larger March for Our Lives event taking place across the country and centered in Washington D.C. on the same day.

Federation is offering several ways to come together as a community around this important event:

  • Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is providing busing from two locations across our region: the Alex Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus at 901 Route 10, Whippany, and B'nai Keshet at 99 South Fullerton Ave., Montclair. We will also be offering a Lunch and Learn after the march for all students and adults at the Robert Treat Hotel. Buses will return after the Lunch and Learn. Cost per person is $18.​

  • If you would like to march with Federation and join the Lunch and Learn but provide your own transportation, please meet us outside the Robert Treat Hotel by 9:30 a.m. Cost to attend the Lunch and Learn without transportation is $10 per Person.

  • If you only want to march together with Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, but do not need transportation and will not be attending the Lunch and Learn, we would still like to know that you are joining us. ​

The March for Our Lives, Newark, NJ will begin in Military Park at 10 a.m.and is being hosted by Women for Progress and Moms Demand Action-NJ. For more information visit their Facebook page.
