About

Diller Teen Fellows is a premier leadership development program for Jewish 10th and 11th graders in Greater MetroWest NJ. The yearlong fellowship invites a select group of 20 teens to explore their Jewish identity and develop leadership skills towards social action and community involvement.

Diller Teen Fellows will develop their leadership skills, explore their Jewish identity, connect with Israel through a peer partnership, and create a social action project of their choosing.

The Diller Teen Fellows program is generously sponsored by the Helen Diller Family Foundation and Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ.

Program Cost and Scholarship Opportunities

Thanks to a $10,000 subsidy from the Helen Diller Family Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, the program tuition per fellow is $4,000 total, which includes a non-refundable $500 deposit. Grants and Need-based Financial aid are available.

Applications for Diller Teen Fellows 2021-2022 are no longer being accepted. If you're interested in participating in 2022-2023, fill out this Interest Form.

Fellowship Experience

The Diller Teen Fellows program is an immersive leadership program inviting a select group of Jewish 10th and 11th graders to connect with one another, step up, lead their communities, and repair the world through experiential education. Sixteen of the communities are within Israel, and each community outside of Israel has an Israeli partner community.

Each year, hundreds of teens from communities worldwide – the United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, Argentina, The United Kingdom, and Israel spend a year engrossed in the Diller Teen Fellows program. Our training features a commitment to hands-on leadership and Tikkun Olam, building a connection to the Jewish people and Israel, and deepening Jewish identity.

In one year, selected Fellows from around the globe are empowered to learn, explore their Jewish identities, take a leading role in their communities, and have a positive impact on the world.

The program offers Fellows a year of experiential training through:

  • Monthly Local Interactive Workshops
  • Shabbatonim/Weekend Retreats
  • Jewish Community Mifgash (JCM)
  • Israel Summer Seminar (ISS)

After completing the Fellowship year, alumni are welcomed into the Global Alumni Network, a global nexus of active and committed Jewish leaders. Alumni are provided with opportunities to continue to deepen their individual Jewish identities and are supported through multiple platforms as they continue to make a difference in the world.
