Spiritual Care

The experienced chaplains in our community normally provide spiritual care in area hospitals and senior living facilities. During this challenging time, and while they continue their regular duties, our Greater MetroWest chaplains, who are multi-faith trained, are available to any member of the community who is feeling spiritual distress and would like a professional ear, a caring heart, and a Jewish neshama to talk to.

This service is provided by your Federation at no charge.

Click here for a bio of each chaplain and their contact information. You may reach out to them directly via text to set up an appointment. (Please refrain from texting them on Shabbat.)

You may also avail yourself of FREE spiritual support through this website, endorsed by the NESHAMA: Association of Jewish Chaplains.

A Daily Dose of Torah

Rabbi Menachem Creditor, the scholar-in-residence at UJA Federation of New York, graciously provides an online “welcome mat” to his home every morning for a few minutes starting at 9 a.m. Here is the link if you would like to enjoy and benefit from this experience: www.facebook.com/ujafedny/videos

Spirituality and Meditation

Visit the Institute for Jewish Spirituality for (at least) two helpful resources:

  1. Master teachers lead a live daily guided meditation, enabling you to share 30 minutes of Jewish mindfulness with people from around the world. Open to all, no experience needed. Monday through Friday, 12:30–1 p.m.
  2. Get a free Jewish Meditation Starter Kit.

Information about both resources can be found here: www.jewishspirituality.org/get-started/resources-for-challenging-times

Your Federation places professional Jewish chaplains at several local hospitals. Here is one story that shows what we can do because of your support.
