Women's Philanthropy

Women are making a bigger difference than ever before. Through fundraising, volunteer work, and advocacy, we are using our collective strength to address the issues we hold close to our hearts. By taking action in our own names, we build a legacy of tzedakah (righteousness) and tikkun olam (repairing the world). We set a shining example for others to follow, now and for future generations. Your gift is your voice. It allows you to stand up and be counted as an individual. When you make a gift to the UJA Annual Campaign in your own name, you demonstrate that you accept personal responsibility for the welfare of the local and global Jewish community. You become a role model to your family and other women, inspiring them to make a difference in others’ lives. There’s a place for you here, no matter where your life and career have taken you. Add your voice to ours and see what a difference you can make. Welcome to Women’s Philanthropy!

  • Getting Involved

AS JEWISH WOMEN, we share common bonds, values and passions. Through our UJA donations and hands-on volunteering, we take our place as leaders, change-makers, and community shapers.

  • Lions of Judah

The Lions of Judah are the most dynamic philanthropic Jewish women in the world. We are women of all ages, an international sisterhood of thousands of global activists who care deeply about the Jewish future.

  • Pomegranate

The Pomegranate is a symbol of a woman’s commitment to and compassion for the Jewish people. This giving level represents the best of what Federation does – bringing together like-minded donors to do a world of good.

  • Missions

A mission with Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is a life-changing opportunity to witness and be inspired by the role every Jew can play in supporting the continuation of the Jewish people. Whether on a trip to Israel, Cuba, Ukraine, Italy or Argentina, there are few experiences that can match the lasting impact and intense experience of a mission.

  • Lions Experienced Exotic Mission to Morocco

    January 8, 2020
There were so many meaningful moments on this wonderful trip, December 4 to 12, including sharing a Shabbat dinner with a Jewish family in Casablanca, and other opportunities for meaningful conversations with Moroccan Jewish and Muslim women who told us about their lives.

  • Lions of Judah Go on an Historic Mission to Mexico
