You’re Invited to the

Film Premiere of
An Inconvenient Time:
The Story of Ruth Ravina

Created, produced, and scored by Denny Klein

Sunday, February 2, 11 a.m.

Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy
110 South Orange Ave., Livingston

At two years old in 1939, Ruth Ravina’s odyssey began when the Nazis invaded her hometown of Kozienice, Poland. By the time the Russians liberated Poland, Ruth was 8 years old and had experienced countless tragedies, years on the run, and three concentration camps. Once liberated, Ruth learned that her father was dead and that she was the only surviving child from Kozienice. Hers is truly a story of survival and triumph.

In 2014, the Klein family met Ruth Ravina when their twin daughters signed on to the Twin with a Survivor program through the Holocaust Council at Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ for their mitzah project. They created a strong bond with Ruth, essentially becoming extended family members, and felt a desire to ensure that her powerful story could be told for generations to come. This film is a moving testimony of Ruth’s life and a meaningful tribute to her.
