Life-long Learning for Seniors – Participants in the Joint Chaplaincy’s Lifelong Learning Program at Lester Senior Housing celebrated their “graduation” with a siyum last week. more

JFS MetroWest Awarded “Breaking Barriers” Matching Grant – The Genesis Prize Foundation and Jewish Funders Network announced the recipients of funding under the special matching grants program created in honor of 2016 Genesis Prize Laureate Itzhak Perlman. The announcement identified 22 organizations which will promote inclusion of those with disabilities in Jewish life. more

GMW Day School Teacher Honored for Excellence – Dr. Catherine J. Lasser, PhD, an upper school Judaic studies teacher at Golda Och Academy, was presented this week with the 2016 Harold Grinspoon Foundation’s North American Grinspoon Award for Excellence in Jewish Education. more

DID YOU KNOW? – Through various and diverse programs, Federation introduced approximately 1,500 local upper-elementary, middle-, and high-school students to Holocaust speakers, educating them on the lessons of being upstanding citizens.
