Day Schools March Together at Celebrate Israel Parade – For the first time, our GMW day schools marched together with the community under the Greater MetroWest banner, building on their collaboration in recent years under the Day School Initiative. more
GLOBAL CONNECTIONS
The New Ofakim Pact – Last week the Israeli government signed an agreement with the municipality of Ofakim, one of our partner communities, to build 14,436 new housing units in four residential neighborhoods in the next decade. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended the celebratory event and declared, “The Negev is going through a revolution and is turning into the new ‘center’ of Israel.” more

DID YOU KNOW? – For the second summer, our Federation, through the Jewish Community Foundation, is providing about $100,000 in needs-based scholarships for Greater MetroWest children to attend an overnight Jewish summer camp. Also for the second time, thanks to the generosity of so many donors, we are sending the children with their own duffel bag filled with the things they need to make it a truly special experience – things that their families may not be able to afford. |
