Touch a Truck, but Hold the Horn –JCC Central’s Touch a Truck event this Sunday from 1-5 p.m. has a special feature for children with special needs and those with auditory sensitivity issues. From 1-2 p.m. there will be no horns, sirens, or music. The event is free and open to the community. more
Abe Foxman Gives a Moving Presentation at Yom Hashoah Commemoration – If you weren’t able to make it to our community Yom Hashoah Commemoration at Kean University last Wednesday, you can click here to listen to Abe Foxman’s powerful speech about standing up for what’s right. “Wherever good people said ‘no’ to hate, people lived.”

Looking for Cherkassy Counselors – Join a few of your Greater MetroWest peers (ages 19 to 24) for an incredible volunteer opportunity this summer (July 20-Aug. 9). Spend several days of intensive training in Israel, and then head to our Federation partner city of Cherkassy, Ukraine where you’ll spend 10 amazing days helping to run a multi-generational summer family camp. Tour the historic city of Kiev, one of the oldest in Eastern Europe, before returning to Israel. Program cost is $360 and includes flights, accommodations, most meals, and travel insurance.
