Super Sunday is approaching

Super Sunday is approaching rapidly. It’s an excellent opportunity for the community to come together as one in support of our biggest fundraising event of the year.

Since Super Sunday is so close to Thanksgiving this year, our theme is THANKS and GIVING. It is the perfect time to give thanks for our incredible community and all it provides to those in need, and to recognize how important giving is, in order to support the caring, building, and saving we do.

This year will be different from past Super Sundays in several exciting ways:

For the first time, you’ll be able to watch the excitement leading up to Super Sunday through our Social Media Campaign using #supersundaygmw. Please help us spread the word.

For the first time, through a Virtual Super Sunday campaign, you’ll be able to make your gift on-line on Super Sunday.

For the first time, you’ll be able to Call in Your Gift over the phone at (877) GIVE-2-UJA.

For the first time, we will be holding related Super Sunday activities in Ofakim, Israel and South Florida, in addition to our two New Jersey locations at the Alex Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus in Whippany and the JCC of Central NJ Wilf Campus in Scotch Plains.

For the first time, our Young Leadership Division is hosting a special calling event from 7 to 9 p.m. that evening. It’s called Cocoa, Cocktails and Calls and will be held at the Chocolate Works in Livingston.

For the first time, we will be hosting a Silent Auction. Shhhh.

Yes, there are a lot of “for the first times” that we are very excited about and hope you are too. Special thanks go out to event chairs Shari Brandt, Ron Brandt, Ron Silbermann, and Stacie & Steve Weisbrot for their tireless work in making this special day happen. Of course we will bring back many of the events that have been popular in the past, including family fun activities, social action opportunities, special guests, and much more. So please join us at this wonderful community day, bring your family and friends, have a great time, make some calls, and be a part of the Thanks and Giving.
