Quantum Physics

I was really glad to read that new breakthroughs in quantum physics are looking at ways that microscopic objects can literally be in two places at the same time. Just think how useful that would be. In a community with the size and variety of ours, you can double the number of exciting events you’d get to go to at any one time.

It would be particularly helpful tonight. There are two fascinating events with three inspiring Israeli women happening in the community. But (un)fortunately, none of us are operating at atomic levels of subparticles. So you’re going to have to pick one and stick with it.

At 7  p.m. at the Wilf Jewish Community Campus, 1391 Martine Ave., Scotch Plains, you can meet and hear two inspiring Arab-Israeli women, who are shaping Israeli society and the world: Dr. Dalia Fadila, an educator and entrepreneur, and Safa Garb from our partner agency JDC. Dalia and Safa, both inspiring and talented women, are going to discuss “The Challenges and Opportunities of Integrating Israeli Arab-Women into Israeli Society.”

At exactly the same time, at the Alex Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus in Whippany, you can meet Dr. Rachel Korazim, educator and speaker. She’s going to discuss “Jews and the World after the Holocaust.”

So… time to pick. Choose wisely – you can find more information here. They’re both going to be impressive events.

Thanks to Peter Feinberg for generously sponsoring the Whippany event, and thanks to our Israel Arab Committee for sponsoring the Scotch Plains event.
