Annual Investors Meeting

By Daniel Staffenberg, JCF Executive Director

Since I came to Greater MetroWest NJ about 18 months ago, I’ve personally met with dozens of families about the funds they have entrusted to JCF either through a Donor Advised Fund, a Lester or LOJE commitment, a Charitable Gift Annuity, or a significant bequest.

I enjoy these meetings, but they always feel incomplete. After all, I am just one person, and there is an impressive and dynamic team behind the JCF Investment Strategy. Our fund holders need and deserve more—more face time, more information, more engagement, and more transparency.

Which is why I hope you will mark your calendar and make plans to attend JCF’s first Annual Investors Meeting on Monday, February 29 at the Alex Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus in Whippany.

Following dinner at 6:30 p.m. (dietary laws observed), the business meeting will begin promptly at 7 p.m., featuring reports from Prime Buchholz, Investment Consultants; the JCF Investment Committee; and Kenneth Caplan, head of global real estate at Blackstone. Peter Langerman, chairman president and CEO of Franklin Mutual Series and a JCF Board member, is both the moderator and chairperson of the 2016 Investors Meeting.

Thank you for investing your philanthropic dollars with the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ (JCF). Whether we hold your Donor Advised Fund; manage your endowment to the UJA-Annual Campaign, Women’s Philanthropy, or the MetroWest Tomorrow Campaign (for affiliated agencies); or administer your family foundation or JCF supporting foundation, we value and are humbled by the trust you’ve placed in JCF. And we take great care in how your philanthropic dollars are invested.

To register for the Annual Investors Meeting, just visit www.jcfmetrowest.org/investors or contact Eileen Heltzer at eheltzer@jfedgmw.org or (973) 929-3039. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear first-hand from the lay leaders and professionals ensuring the growth and security of our Jewish community.

I look forward to seeing you February 29.

B’Shalom

P.S. The audience will be filled with investors from all aspects of JCF’s work: the Lester and LOJE endowments, the Donor Advised Funds, the Charitable Gift Annuities, the Supporting Foundations like Hebrew Free Loan and the Beth El Memorial Park, the family foundations and MetroWest Tomorrow Campaign, and Create a Jewish Legacy donors.
