About this Synagogue:
We are a Chabad synagogue, established in 1913 and transferred from Newark, NJ to Maplewood, NJ in the 1960s. We are located at 421 Boyden Ave., Maplewood, NJ 07040 - just a few minutes walk from the MidTown Direct train to New York City - and we welcome Jews of all backgrounds and levels of observance. Our spiritual leader since 2001 is Rabbi Yeheskel Lebovic, ordained by the United Lubavitcher Yeshivoth. Our synagogue is Chabad-friendly, with Chabad Chassidic texts studied weekly. We conduct Sabbath services Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon. We serve a kiddush every Shabbos! We also conduct a Sunday morning service. We conduct services on all Jewish holidays. Rabbi Lebovic conducts a Torah study group every Tuesday evening and in conjunction with every service.
