The Honeymoon Israel/NextDor Associate will join the NextDor team to create awesome events, foster relationships, develop leaders and assist in growing the NextDor campaign for the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest. S/he will also be the lead staff for the Honeymoon Israel program which is coming to Greater MetroWest in Fall 2019. Honeymoon Israel is a Jewish organization that provides trips to Israel for couples with at least one Jewish partner. Each trip includes 20 diverse couples from the same city - couples with one Jewish partner, couples where both partners were born Jewish and couples where one partner is converted/Jew-by-choice.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Alongside a team of professionals and lay leaders, implement an outreach and engagement strategy for the NextDor community focusing on social, business networking and young family programming
- Responsible for campaign portfolio of at least 50 NextDor donors who make gifts up to $1,000
- Serve as the lead professional for the Honeymoon Israel program launching in 2019 including:
- Managing the relationship between Honeymoon Israel national and our local efforts
- Manage the local recruitment and interview process
- Develop relationships with applicants, those who enroll in the program and those whose applications are not accepted
- Create pre and post trip programs
- Work alongside the Honeymoon Israel local educator to create meaningful experiences on the trip itself
- Understand and meet the needs of lay leaders, the young adult community and the Greater MetroWest community
- Work collaboratively with other departments of the Federation (Global Connections, Campaign, Planning, etc.) as well as other Federation agencies and programs (PJ Library, synagogues, etc.)
REQUIREMENT SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Charismatic individual who will draw and engage young adults
- Driven and determined leader who creates momentum and positive energy
- Mirror the Federation’s values of menslichkeit, collaboration, creativity and accountability
- Prior successes working in the young adult space is a plus
- Fundraising/sales experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media
- Must possess strong written and oral communications skills
- Familiarity with and understanding of the Greater MetroWest community and/or National Jewish community is a plus
- Work some evenings and weekends
