The Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ (JCF) seeks a part time, 19 hours a week, Director for the Jewish Women’s Foundation of New Jersey, a JCF Advisory Council Fund.

The Jewish Women’s Foundation of New Jersey (JWFNJ) is a donor advised fund with $1 - $2 million in assets, with trustees who are dedicated to empowering women and girls through education, advocacy, and strategic grant making.

JWFNJ seeks a highly organized candidate for a part-time Director position to:

  • Actively manage the operations and activities of the JWFNJ with the advice and consent of the trustees
  • Work with trustees to plan and execute two annual grant cycles impacting women and girls in New Jersey and a small fund dedicated to Israel
  • Implement educational programming and seek out best practices in the field
  • Cultivate new trustees and engage current membership
  • Interact with JCF and Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ to keep entities abreast on JWF’s activities
  • Strengthen partnerships with JWF networks across the Country and build other key partnerships (i.e., Women’s Philanthropy, other donor advised funds, networks)
  • Work with JCF’s finance department to oversee financial activity and policies and procedures for the Fund
  • Serve as administrator of JWFNJ website and social media

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Experience in foundation, donor advised fund or non-profit grant administration
  • Demonstrated ability to direct and engage trustees to achieve the mission of JWFNJ
  • Expertise in recruiting and retaining new members in a membership style organization
  • Experience in increasing visibility of an organization to the public and building partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to explore and learn new systems including but not limited to social media, foundation software and website.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office, the ability to set up and maintain email and file sharing systems, calendars, simple databases, knowledge of WordPress helpful
  • Experience in budgeting and other fiscal management operations

The Director is the sole employee of JWFNJ.
