Mr. Ward is a civil rights and anti-racism activist. He is a nationally recognized expert in countering white nationalist groups that use bigotry and hate violence to undermine democratic society. For more than 30 years, Mr. Ward has worked to build inclusive societies with racial, gender, and economic justice. Mr. Ward has served as a senior fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center. Previously, Mr. Ward was the Gender, Racial, and Ethnic Justice program officer at the Ford Foundation.
