Temple B’nai Abraham invites you to gather strength during Resilience Week February 7-13. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel after a most difficult year, but we still have a way to go. We need all the strength and support we can get. Join us for as many events as you can this Resilience week so that we may strengthen ourselves and support each other for the months ahead.

One of the events the public is invited to attend is on Monday, February 8, at 7:00 PM, via zoom, a conversation with Elisa Udaskin, author of Be a Mensch: Strengthen Your Resilience by Strengthening Others. Who doesn’t want to be a mensch? Someone who exudes kindness, integrity, and honor. The type of person who knows what to say when a friend’s loved one passes away or how to react with empathy and grace when someone at work is being totally uncaring. The kind of person your grandma would be proud of. Getting into the mensch mindset takes practice. But simple shifts in your approach to everyday interactions can help you find your inner mensch, revitalizing and strengthening your personal and professional relationships and the values you pass on to your family. A collection of humorous stories and practical advice—sprinkled with a healthy dose of Yiddish humor—Be a Mensch shows how to incorporate kindness into your daily life and to help others through difficult situations. It challenges you to get off your rear end and get involved. By living as a mensch, you will not only help others but improve your own life too. Email tbainfo@tbanj.org to register.
Please go to www.tbanj.org for other activities during Resilience Week or email tbainfo@tbanj.org.
