Something BIG is coming

Hundreds of Jewish communal professional and lay leaders from throughout North America met up last week at our annual GA, or General Assembly, in Washington, D.C.

There we were, all together, all of us who love our community and share its values, all sharing one common concern – the well-being of the Jewish people. The passion and the power in the room when we were all there was palpable. And I left the gathering feeling inspired and hopeful. Feeling that the Jewish people will continue to thrive in this great country because there are so many of us who care and who are willing to do what’s necessary to defend and advocate for one another.

Which brings me to the BIGGIVE. Or “the event formerly known as Super Sunday.”

The BIGGIVE will be held on Sunday, December 4 at both the JCC MetroWest in West Orange and the JCC Central in Scotch Plains. It’s a chance for us to bring that power and passion of community to our local level.

Just like at the GA, we can come together as Jews, no matter our synagogue affiliation, political preferences, or any other minor and major details that make us different. We can come together as the Jewish community to demonstrate and celebrate our unity and to help raise the funds that Federation needs in order to continue your now-more-than-ever important work of caring for one another, of fighting for our common values and for Israel, and for inspiring our future generation of young leaders.

This isn’t about Federation. It’s about you.

This event is going to be something BIG.

And I promise… if you join us, you’ll leave feeling hopeful as well.
