This summer is unlike any other! With overnight camps shuttered and travel plans cancelled, many parents are wondering how they will keep their children and teens engaged for the next couple of months. Check out these programs, offered by our Federation and community partners, and make summer 2020 meaningful!

  • Summer Family Concert Series*

    For families with young children
    Unleash your family spirit, grab your instruments, and join your Greater MetroWest PJ Library family from wherever you are to shake your sillies out with this fun interactive concert series featuring local favorites and PJ Library recording artists!

  • Summer Mitzvah Mania PLUS*

    For teens
    An eight-week, summer-long program with one or two volunteer and social opportunities available each week. These engaging programs are designed for teens entering grades 7-12.

  • Summer Fun in a Box*

    For families with school-age children
    Summer Fun Box from One Happy Camper NJ brings the spirit of camp to your family at home. From a kite, a picnic blanket, and paddle board set to string art, games from Israel, and more, this box full of fun will keep the whole family engaged!

  • Summer Volunteer Opportunities

    For the whole family
    As you look for meaningful ways to engage your family this summer, consider these volunteer opportunities to help those in need in our community. Choose from options to do in person or from the comfort of your home.

  • Tour de Summer Camps NJ

    For the whole family
    Tour de Summer Camps NJ 2020 will be a 6-week-long summer cycling challenge! From July 15 to August 31, participants of all ages can choose their own mileage goals and raise money by cycling outdoors or staying in to Spin. There’s no minimum or maximum – we just want you to stay fit and have fun, all while helping send kids to camp next summer.

  • Virtual Summer Program Guide and Camp Grants*

    For school-age children and teens
    While nothing is quite the same as being at camp in person, there are many exciting, alternative summer programs options for summer 2020. Here you’ll find a curated compilation of virtual programs serving children and teens in Greater MetroWest NJ and learn about an opportunity to receive up to $180 Virtual Camp Grant.

  • Early Childhood Camp in a Box*

    For families with young children
    In partnership with select early childhood centers, we are creating engaging boxes filled with unique materials and suggested activities for families with children ages two to five. Boxes are available one per family in limited supply.

  • Teachers Go to Camp*

    We are offering $50 scholarships for educators to attend NewCAJE this summer, which is the premier summer professional development conference for Jewish educators. NewCAJE will provide four weeks of virtual workshops and gatherings, with tracks in virtual learning and early childhood education that will help prepare them for this unprecedented upcoming school year!

  • Expanded SeniorITIS*

    For teens
    SeniorITIS (Senior Institute for Teens In Service) is a JTEEN program designed to pair rising or graduating high school seniors with a top-notch organization that provides a valuable, real-world, PAID internship experience with a Jewish twist. We work individually with every member of the program to make a much more rewarding and enriching experience.
