Federation Offers Support for Victims of Terror

In the past four weeks, dozens of Israeli civilians, police officers, and IDF soldiers have been killed, attacked, or seriously injured by Palestinian terrorists and violent clashes. The Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ stands in solidarity with the people of Israel and offers support to victims of terror. We are deeply troubled and outraged by this wave of violence perpetrated on innocent Israeli citizens. We pray for the families and the victims of these attacks and urge the international community to speak out loudly against such acts of terrorism.

The current situation is intolerable. Israel must protect its citizens. Palestinian leaders must do all that they can to quell inflammatory falsehoods about Israeli intentions to alter the Temple Mount status and take all steps necessary to de-escalate tensions.

We stand with Israel in this time of sorrow and fear and with all people in the region who strive for peace, justice, and security.

How We Are Helping the Victims of Terror

During times of calm or crisis, Federation ensures life-changing programs and services for people in Israel and around the world. Federation’s Annual Campaign invests in global partners – The Jewish Agency for Israel and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee – who are on the ground in Israel, and in 70 countries throughout the world, providing vital humanitarian assistance and immersive programs that strengthen global Jewish peoplehood. This infrastructure assures us the ability to respond immediately in times of crisis.

When crisis or conflict does arise, Federation supports emergency efforts to provide vital humanitarian assistance to those in dire need.

Federation supports the Fund for the Victims of Terror, an emergency effort to bring humanitarian assistance to victims of the wave of terror in Israel. The Israel Terror Relief Fund empowers The Jewish Agency for Israel to provide immediate long-term support, comfort, and emergency services for victims and families affected by this violence.
