JOB SUMMARY:

Diversified position providing administrative support to the Chief Jewish Learning Officer, Director of Day School Initiative, and Director of Jewish Camp Enterprise, and respective team members. Pleasant self-starter with a broad range of skills will interface with all departments, and levels of personnel in Federation and Community. Capable of working independently with the ability to establish procedures to monitor own job activities and regulate tasks. Must possess the ability to adapt to change in priorities during the business day and handle multiple assignments. Professional demeanor, dependability, confidentiality, and flexibility are attributes in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to individual directors, and team members
  • Prepare and file correspondence
  • Prepare deposits/check requests
  • Provide support to coordinate grant applications in One Happy Camper system and camp scholarship applications
  • Provide support for Tour de Summer Camps NJ fundraising event
  • Input data in unique data base (BBEC)
  • Assist with meetings and events (scheduling, preparation, follow-up); willingness to support events in the evenings and weekends on a periodic basis
  • Collect data and create reports regarding Chaplaincy placements and services performed
  • Coordinate/confirm placement of Chaplains for weekly religious services in various locations
  • Prepare/disseminate materials to Chaplains on request
  • Assist with maintaining programs on Community Calendar
  • Assist with all preparation for Quest for Teaching Excellence program, especially the Quest Conference, working in tandem with the Quest Manager and Day School Program Manager
  • Assist with day school projects and innovations as they arise (Smart Move program, Tuition MAX, Vision 2030)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in other office software programs, including Excel, Outlook, Power Point
  • Excellent telephone manner and good command of the English language
  • High level of attention to detail and high level of accuracy of work
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interface with every level of personnel
  • Maintain a good attitude in a busy atmosphere
  • Adaptable to changing priorities during the business day
  • Diligent in follow up
