In President Carter: The White House Years, Stuart E. Eizenstat presents a comprehensive history of the Carter Administration, demonstrating that Carter was the most impactful, consequential, modern-era one-term U.S. President. Eizenstat documents Carter’s many lasting accomplishments, which continue to shape American politics at home and abroad.

Stuart E. Eizenstat was President Carter’s Chief White House Domestic Policy Advisor. He served as a member of President Johnson’s White House Staff; under President Clinton, he served as Ambassador to the European Union, Under Secretary of Commerce, Under Secretary of State, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, and Special Representative of the President on Holocaust-Era Issues. In the Obama Administration, he was Special Representative of the Secretary of State on Holocaust Issues. He is also the author of Imperfect Justice and The Future of the Jews.
