On Friday, January 31, 2020, at 6:30 PM please join us for a special Choral Shabbat with our professional quartet and organist Sándor Szabó, at Temple B’nai Abraham. We will be honoring the legacy of the late composer Gershon Kingsley (z”l) (1922-2019) with pieces from his 1990 Friday Night Service “Shiru L’Adonai: Sing to God!” Kingsley was a pioneer of electronic music and the Moog synthesizer, a partner in the electronic music duo Perrey and Kingsley, founder of the First Moog Quartet, as well as a writer of rock-inspired compositions for Jewish religious ceremonies.
