Mark Wilf Nominated to Be Next Chair of the Board of JFNA

We are proud to announce that, Mark Wilf, a long-time resident of our community, has been nominated for the position of Chair of the Board for the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) Board of Trustees. The vote to confirm the nomination will take place at a meeting of the Board just before the JFNA General Assembly to be held this year in Tel Aviv on October 22. Mark Wilf will be an outstanding chair. In business, his accomplishments are many. He is an attorney and a partner in Garden Homes, a real estate development firm, and owner/president of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings. As a philanthropist, his generosity is matched by few.

Mark’s parents, Joseph, z”l and Elizabeth Wilf, philanthropists whose impact across the globe was immeasurable, were great role models for Mark. Drawing on their experiences as survivors who found a way to thrive, Mark has demonstrated a profound commitment to advocating for the needs of the Jewish people. The entire Wilf Family has long played an active and significant role in local, national and global efforts to ensure the welfare and vitality of the Jewish community.

Mark has held numerous leadership positions, both nationally and locally, including National Campaign Chair, National Young Leadership Cabinet Co-Chair, and President of his community’s Federation. Currently serving as Co-Chair of our National Holocaust Survivors Initiative, Mark has helped raise millions in funding, which will enable many survivors to live their remaining years in dignity.

“Mark has been instrumental in laying the groundwork for the future of our Greater MetroWest Jewish community,” said Federation president Scott Krieger.

Federation CEO/executive director Dov Ben-Shimon continued, “Mark, following the example set by his parents, has given generously with his financial support and his time and energy in helping to build and strengthen the Jewish community. Mark’s years of Jewish communal leadership, both nationally and locally, have well prepared him for this exciting position at JFNA.”

Locally, Mark served as president of our Jewish Federation of Central NJ and as the chair of our Builders and Allied Trades division. He also sits on numerous local charitable and educational boards in addition to serving as a trustee of NYU School of Law and as a member of the President’s Advisory Council at Princeton University.

“We are thrilled that a member of our community is taking on such a prominent role in the national system and cannot think of a better person for it than Mark given his deep-rooted commitment to Jewish peoplehood. We are deeply grateful for his long-time leadership and profound sense of philanthropy,” Krieger added.

Mark and his wife, Jane, have four children.
