UJA Campaign
The annual United Jewish Appeal Campaign of Greater MetroWest NJ (UJA) embodies the values and traditions of our Jewish community more than anything else we do. It says we will address a broad array of critical issues to see that no Jew in need is ever turned away. It is the focal point of giving which provides the unrestricted funding needed to answer the diverse Jewish needs in Greater MetroWest, Israel, and overseas.
In addition to being our community’s safety net, UJA supports a wealth of programs that strengthen Jewish identity and guarantee Jewish continuity by pumping much-needed dollars into our 27 local and 4 overseas partner agencies. Among them, they provide:
- counseling for families in crisis
- assisted living and critical care homes
- cultural and recreational experiences
- Israel experiences
- eldercare programs
- vocational services
- formal and informal Jewish education
- services for people with special needs
- extended school days and nutrition programs in Israel for children at risk
- advocacy issues concerning the greater Jewish community
